In a conversation with Forbes Middle East, IBM’s general manager for Middle East and Africa Takreem El-Tohamy speaks about how he is planning to capitalize on the data-centric economy by investing in everything around data. One of the key areas that El-Tohamy is focusing on is ethics in artificial intelligence – an aspect that is often neglected by many in the race to harvest data.

The IT firm, which has partnered with Dubai government to launch Dubai Blockchain Platform, is also focusing big time on blockchain and other emerging technologies that could drive its growth in the Middle East and Africa.
